Delete your Invoice Link account

You can close your account at any time. This page explains both ways to do it and exactly what happens to your data afterwards.

Cancel your mobile subscription separately first

Deleting your Invoice Link account does NOT cancel an active Apple or Google subscription. To stop recurring charges:

  • iPhone: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Invoice Link
  • Android: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Invoice Link

Option 1 · Recommended

Delete from inside the app

Open Invoice Link → Settings ProfileDelete Account. You'll be asked to confirm your password.

Fastest path — the deletion begins immediately and every device is signed out.

Option 2 · On the web

Request deletion without the app

Use the form below. We'll email you a secure confirmation link (valid 24 hours). Clicking the link finalizes the request.

Use this if you've uninstalled the app or lost access to your device.

Request account deletion

Enter the email on your Invoice Link account. We'll send a confirmation link so nobody else can request deletion for you.

Helps us improve — never shared, never tied back to identifiable data after deletion.

What happens to your data

  • Confirmation email. We email the address you provide with a signed, single-use link (24-hour expiry). We do this so a stranger can't request deletion of your account.
  • Production removal — within 30 days. Your account, customers, invoices, estimates, notes, attachments, push tokens, and session records are hard-deleted from our live databases.
  • Backups — within 90 days. Encrypted database backups roll over on a 90-day schedule. After that window, the data is gone from backups too.
  • Tax records — retained 7 years. U.S. tax and accounting law (IRC § 6001, 26 CFR § 1.6001-1) requires us to retain payment and receipt records for seven years from the transaction date. Where we must keep these rows, we strip personally identifiable information from them (name, email) so only the financial metadata remains.
  • Legal holds. If a specific record is under a preservation obligation (subpoena, litigation hold, regulatory investigation), we'll keep it until the hold is lifted.

Heads up: account deletion is permanent. Once the 30-day purge runs, the data can't be recovered. Export anything you want to keep from Settings → Data Export before you submit a deletion request.
